Humanitarian Relief
Community Partners International equips local organizations and the communities they serve to respond to humanitarian emergencies, build resilience, and develop sustainable solutions in emergency settings.
Through our network of trusted local partners, we support locally led responses to emergencies that ensure vital supplies and support reach people in need quickly and cost-effectively. Where possible, we prioritize local procurement to maximise response speeds, minimize supply chain challenges, reduce costs, and support local economies.
Beyond, the immediate emergency, we support local partners and communities through the recovery phase, prioritizing sustainable solutions for protracted emergencies and strengthening communities’ ability to withstand future shocks.
In crisis situations, people can lose their homes and livelihoods. We provide short-term cash support to help families purchase essential items. Cash can reach more people more quickly than in-kind support, and it empowers people to make decisions based on their individual circumstances and priorities.
During a crisis, people need more than just humanitarian relief. Alongside humanitarian assistance, we help communities restore basic services, shelter, livelihoods, and food security to promote resilience and support durable and sustainable recovery.
Children are particularly vulnerable in times of crisis. We help children affected by conflict and natural disasters start and continue their education. Being in school means they are better protected from harm and exploitation, supports their mental and physical health, and ensures they can continue to learn, develop and achieve their full potential.
Conflict and natural disasters often destroy food sources and prevent people from reaching crops and markets. We help children families access essential food and nutrition to prevent malnutrition and protect health. We help them develop new food sources and livelihoods to strengthen food security.
During conflict and natural disasters, children and families can be cut off from lifesaving health care. We help communities access health care during emergencies, and support them to rebuild essential health services.
When people are displaced and their homes are damaged or destroyed, we provide shelter and basic household items to help them survive. This support reduces their vulnerability and helps them meet their essential needs during a crisis.
A lack of safe water can be devastating for communities affected by conflict and natural disasters, allowing deadly diseases to spread. We help communities access safe drinking water and build wells, toilets, and washing facilities to meet their longer-term water, sanitation and hygiene needs.
