Research & Learning
Community Partners International empowers vulnerable communities in Asia, with particular focus on Myanmar and Bangladesh, to conduct research on health care, humanitarian services, and sustainable development. Our research focuses on a wide range of topics, including public health, health and human rights, health system strengthening, infectious disease, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, and maternal, newborn and child health.
We help communities set their research agenda and lead participatory research initiatives that meet international standards and ethical principles. We support them to build data collection and information systems, and use research findings to improve essential services, governance and livelihoods, inform strategy development, service planning, and implementation.
Additionally, we build and guide research coalitions involving community partners, academic institutions, foundation and institutional donors, and other stakeholders to transform research into practical and effective action.
