Safe Water
Each day, Nurul Amin, tests water sources in Kutupalong Refugee Camp, Bangladesh, for contamination. The camp shelters nearly one million Rohingya forced to flee their homes in Myanmar. Living in flimsy bamboo shelters in densely populated neighborhoods, refugees have limited access to good nutrition, safe water, hygiene and sanitation.
A refugee himself, Nurul works to ensure that refugee families have safe water for drinking, cooking and washing. He tests water reservoirs, wells and household water storage in the camp to prevent dangerous waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid and dysentry. Watch the video to see your impact in action:
